Handy Children
Lowes has a Build and Grow Clinic two Saturday's a month where children can hammer together wooden toys. Our children have completed numerous projects at these clinics with huge smiles. In addition to the craft, each child gets an apron, goggles, certificate and patch.
You need to go to their website to register prior to attending to make sure they have enough supplies.
Home Depot has a similar program on the first Saturday of each month at 9 AM. Each child leaves the Home Depot workshop with their completed project, an apron, a certificate and a pin. I prefer the Home Dept workshop finished projects as they are of higher quality.
